My favorite couple from the ABC soap opera "One Life to Live" have been unceremoniously dropped from the show. The excuse that the network is using is that they brought the ratings down because mainstream audiences didn't like a gay couple doesn't wash (since the period in time they refer to they were hardly on screen). There are a bunch of groups popping up to spread the word to not only have this loving couple returned to the screen, but also to support actors Brett Claywell and Scott Evans.
I would be so thankful if you would take a few minutes of your time to rally against this injustice. Yes, I realize it's only a television show, a soap at that, but it really is the principle of the thing. If Americans are to move forward and accept gay couples as part of our culture, they need to be represented on TV - and on OLTL they were not only represented well but also beautifully presented.
Thank you for your support.
